The Anvil Aerospace Carrack has been the vanguard of every UEE exploration effort in recent years. The ship features reinforced fuel tanks for long-duration flight, a highly advanced jump drive array and a dedicated computer core room that allows it to put the maximum processing power into jump charting operations. Originally a military exclusive, the Carrack is now available for civilian use as a pathfinder spacecraft. On-board accommodations allow for truly self-sufficient flight, including crew medical and repair facilities, and a mapping-oriented sensor suite capable of always charting a route home!
The 160 were the tip of the spear of the UEE Navy, not just a fighting force but highly specialized in deep space special operations. For most military encounters, by the time any Naval Squadron was called in, the 160 had most likely moved on. Battle strategy, recon, and forward operations were the bulk of the 160s duties.
The Shepherd, a custom Carrack-class vessel, was commissioned from Anvil Aerospace on the 20th of August 2946 by Event Horizon Inc. Transferred to EHI headquarters in May 2948 she was designated the flagship for EHI's Stellar Cartography department under the command of Desmari Owlent. To date, EHI Shepherd has been tasked with jump point charting in support of blue chip 'verse companies in a bid to minimise fatalities and ensure cargo arrives on time.
A ship put into mothballs by the UEE after a rather short career on the outer rim. Purchased by TastyT72 for a modest sum and a kidney, the ship was refurbished and renovated for long duration runs to chart new jump points.
